Why this one?


Cayman Brac is a small, quirky little island, where everything is within easy reach, and we hope you will like it's simplicity. Michael & I first came here in November 2014 to experience what we knew was some of the best diving in the world. We fell in love with Cayman Brac because it's so relaxed, & with it's fabulous sunrises & sunsets, & friendly people, we know you will absolutely love your time here. 

This is an unfussy home, originally built in the 1980's by a local who loved it so much he remains to this day on Cayman Brac. Originally with only 2 bedrooms, the house has been added onto but in keeping with the original design, and has lofted ceilings and spectacular views from just about everywhere in the house.

​Because the island and the house are well away from the hustle and bustle,  we've tried to think of
& provide everything that you'll need for a calm and relaxing stay, including books, games, & water toys, making it all as easy as possible.

Our lovely 10' x 20' concrete pool (3' at shallow end, 5' at deep end), is accessible
from the lower deck, two steps down from the original one, creating a huge outdoor living space,
and giving us even more expansive views of the sea and shoreline, either from in the pool,
​or when lounging at it's sides.

Bright & Spacious

This property is a TRUE beach house - open living, a large outdoor deck with your choice of sun or shade, a landscaped beachfront, & separate areas that deliver privacy, as well as lots of good collective space. And whilst we don't have immediate water access - our part of this special island is on a reef and therefore has an iron shore - the nearest public beach is a 10 minute drive, and the local "Buccaneers" rock pool for safe & easy swimming & snorkeling is only 15 minutes away ... well worth the effort.

Location

Situated on the south side of the island, about 2 miles from the east end of the road, the house is tucked away and unobtrusive from the road, and in a very quiet location.

House Amenities

As you leave your car and your shoes at the front of the house, you'll also leave all your worries behind. On entering, you'll find a large, workable kitchen, laundry room to the right, and living/dining room with wall-mounted TV to the left. This room allows for being comfortably inside on the odd occasion that the weather requires it, with Netflix & other apps to keep you entertained. A small sofa with ottomans makes this a comfy place to read, and a high-top 6 seat table can be used for indoor dining  and/or working.
A window seat in the kitchen area makes for cozy kitchen conversations, and the window seat at the entrance to the Family Bedroom allows for reflection. 

In the main Living Room, the  views become obvious, as does the light and spaciousness of this room, with it's lofted ceiling. Moving out onto the deck, you'll see why this will become the focal part of your stay. The view, breezes, sound and smell of the sea tell it all.

Four lovely bedrooms complete this home, including the Beachside room, which is double sized. All bedrooms have their own bathroom, except for the Family Room Annex, which has 2 trundle beds (for kids), and shares a bathroom with the Family Room.

Additional amenities include a bookcase which houses books, games, throw rugs, pillows, & beach towels. Beach & water toys, beach chairs and small kiddies pools (one inflatable, one snap-set) are also provided for guests' use/

​Outdoor settings - Adirondack chairs for early morning or late afternoon cocktails on the top deck, and around the fire-pit; 4 chaise lounges; 6 seat  dining table and chairs; and small tables are ready to be moved into whatever position best suits you. Our landscaped garden includes a short sand walkway to the fire-pit, where there is a lovely view of the sunset each night.
